Something I'm very thankful about in the blogging world is finding new bloggers that are unpretentious, have great style, and take amazing pictures. It's like finding a gem that hasn't become a mega-star in the blogging world just quite yet, but totally deserves it. Chloe from Dirt On Your New Shoes is one of those girls. On a whim I decided to email her and see if I could ask her a few questions. She kindly agreed and now you all get to meet one of my favorite fashion bloggers. Enjoy : )
1. Tell us a bit about yourself (name, where you're from, etc)
Right, my name is Chloe and I'm a 20 year old student living term time in Leeds and holidays at home near London. I'm studying Cinema and would love to be a screenwriter when I graduate. I love blogging, live music, vintage clothing, spending time with my friends and watching bad TV.
2. Where do you shop for your clothing?
I am quite eclectic in my shopping habits. I like to divide my wardrobe between high street stores like Urban Outfitters, H&M and ASOS and then also I love to inject vintage pieces into the mix. For vintage, I prefer the vintage shops of London, especially the East End Thrift Store and Rockit Vintage. I also shop online for pieces on etsy and ebay. This summer I also started thrifting in charity shops because I had a low budget but I think it's going to be a habit that sticks around for a long time. I tend to look everywhere I can think of for clothes because I'm such a shopaholic.
3. What's your favorite thing about blogging?
My favourite part is probably the community that the blogging world has created. It's so great to find out there's so many people out there who share your passion and to be given the chance to communicate with them that you wouldn't normally have. It's also a great confidence boost to have people compliment my style but I really enjoy using other blogs for inspiration in my own wardrobe.
4. How'd you meet your boyfriend? (of COURSE I had to ask this :D)
Well, we actually met when we were 16 at a party but it took us another two years before we got together as a couple and we've been together now for nearly two and a half years. That sounds so long when it's written down!
5. It seems like you've done a bit of traveling recently, where did you go and how did this come about?
I went on a long weekend to Scandinavia, namely Denmark and Sweden, a little while ago. I love travelling and I couldn't stand the idea of not going anywhere this summer so I planned the whole trip for a really great price and then my boyfriend couldn't say no. Last summer, we spent two weeks in New York and Boston so this was a more low key affair but I love seeing new places.
Thank you so much Chloe - you rock! Do you have any favorite fashion bloggers that fly under the radar but totally deserve a mention? Leave a name in the comments, I'd love to check them out!
She has great style, and I'll definitely be keeping her London vintage suggestions in mind!
