Style Files: The Ray Ban Man

"If you are not prepared to be wrong, you will never come up with anything original. All children are born artists. The problem is to remain an artist as we grow up. We do not grow in to creativity, we grow out of creativity."

This outfit didn't exactly turn out the way I was thinking it would, but I was home for that weekend and didn't pack everything that I was planning to (whoops!) so I had to make things work.  The main spluf (aka, fault, aka my new word, spread it around) of this outfit is that I paired a green shirt with green tights.  I wanted to wear a long sleeve shirt since I just got this jacket at Goodwill and wearing a sleeveless kind of grossed me out, and green was all I had.  So green it was! No big deal, right? (That's what I keep telling myself)

Two weekends ago I visited another photography school (this time one really close to my home) and it looks like that's probably where I'll take a few classes in lighting, coloring, and editing after I graduate with my Bachelors from my college.

Also, I'm not sure if you know this, but I'm one of the fashion editors for Lady and the Blog and I recently reviewed this pair of Ray Ban sunglasses.  I like the classic frame that made Ray Ban famous when Bob Dylan popularized them in the 60's, but this set of frames is actually a bit thicker around and it pulls off the look real nice.  You can read my entire review here, but trust me...nothing but good things to say. I never thought that expensive glasses would be worth it, but these are TOTALLY worth it in every way.

  1. I don't think the green shirt and green tights looks bad at all! I like it! I lovvee the Ray Bans. I am obsessed with mine and I am hoping for another pair for Christmas. The price per wear on the ones I have must be less than a dollar at this point, I even wear them on cloudy days! Haha.

  8. The outfit turned out gorgeous - and the greens work very well together. As for Raybans - they are awesome (especially on you), however I'm not sure I could ever own a pair. I have a seriously horrible habit of breaking my sunglasses every year. They only ever last a season or two, so I've succumb to buying cheapo pairs at Forever 21.
