Fashion Night Out Philadelphia, 2012

This year was Philadelphia's first annual Fashion Night Out. Originally started in New York City four years ago in 2008, FNO has since gone international, and for the very first time visited the city of Brotherly Love last night. Guest blogger Jacqui of Burgundy Whispers gives us a sneak peak into what the event was like.
Fashion's Night Out in Philadelphia was pretty cool. I didn't use the term "awesome" only because it seemed like most people I talked to didn't really know what was going on, and because of that Philadelphia seemed quiet. Even so, there were great opportunities to meet and talk to some really creative folk.
My stops included, Knit wit, Macy's, Aoki, Free People, and Juicy Couture. The Philadelphia Collection even held a photoshoot with a red carpet by Rittenhouse Square Park. The purpose of it was to entice people for Philadelphia's Fashion Week, September 13- 20. Last night I met some of the PhillyMag editors, designers and creators of the like. Just to name a few, Angela Monaco of Concrete Polish, Elaine Lai of Tough Luv Clothing, Michelle and Jade of Skai Blue Media and Dominique Negron of Couture Vulture.
Macy's was giving out free manicures and the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator designer was designing, live in public which was amazing to see her process. Knit Wit held a party with a live dj, with the Skai Blue Media showroom's designers while Aoki boutique held a trunk show for Couture Vulture. It was a wonderful night filled with wine, music, fashion and fashion connoisseurs.
Xoxo,
Jacqui

So what was your impression of Philly's first FNO? Was it lackluster or did you have a ball? Would you like to see this event again?
